How to make homemade jam.....?

There's also the easy method used by my Granny and Mom and myself. Go to the store buy Sure-Jel. The recipe is on the box and it doesn't have to cook as long . If you want to do the old fashion way, then you can use the first answer's receipe but just cook it long enough for it to get thick. Also if you want to can your jam, boil the jars and lids, put the jam in the hot jars and put the hot lid on it. As it cools it will seal. (you can also get the jars hot enough by running them through the dishwasher..) Properly canned it will keep for about 6 months, but I've never had a batch that lasted that long, it gets eaten before then.
