How long might it take for a bump on my finger to go away?

My middle finger got hit with an air hockey puck one week and two days ago. I just kept playing because it didn't hurt that bad, but a bump formed that looked kinda green at first. I was at the movie theater and went in to watch the movie and I was using that same hand to eat popcorn so it kinda started hurting. Anyway, I put some ice on it when I got home, and I could move the finger fine. The bump went down, but it's still there, like I can feel the bump when I touch it with my other finger. It hurts a little whenever I tap it against something accidentally, which happens several times everyday, and I feel it when I press down on it. Oh, and it's located in between the two joints, closer to the joint next to my nail. I know bumps can stay forever, like the one I have on my head.
