How do you loosen like the bridge on a guitar?

well, i'm thick as **** and i want to fit a tremelo bar on my guitar but my bridge is fixed down, there is a hole for a bar but i don't know how to loosen the bridge so it will work. I'ts a squier strat so no floyd rose
