If the Dream Act would bring the US so many economic benefits, why would people not want the Dream Act?

I think a lot of people don't really know what the Dream Act is. They just think it's free college for all illegals, and that is untrue. This is a great question, and I'd love to know why anybody in their right mind would want to stop this.
