Moving out soon, a bit complicated.. advice?

I'm 18 years old, and I live with my grandparents. I used to live with my brother's dad and stepmom, and they mistreated me severely so I left at 17. Things have been difficult for me, and I often just have to take care of myself. I don't have much of anyone, but I was planning on going ahead and moving in with my aunt and uncle for maybe.. a year or less than that. But, I'm a month or so away from graduating high school. I plan to go to college, but I'd like to hold off for a year tops. I would be working of course, and the money I make would go towards college fund, a car, food, clothes.. because, I don't want anyone spending money on me, especially when they're nice enough to let me live with them. So, anyway I'm really close to them, and it's no big deal. I just need to have a job and help out with stuff, and all that you know. But, I currently do not have a car and they are in a different town 50 miles away. So, when I do move there.. I need food (vegetarian) and work soon.. so yeah I'd apply at places.. this is the only plan I have and it seems like a crappy one.. this may all sound stupid, but whatever.
