My husband is mad that I slid the car into a ditch?

We live in a rural area and yesterday we got about a foot of snow. The roads have been plowed but not salted so they are snow packed and icy. I went to pick up our son from preschool this morning and hit a patch of ice and slid into the ditch. We had to call a tow truck to pull it out. My husband is furious! I don't know what to say to him. It's not like I did it on purpose, and it's not like I'm the only person who has done this in the last few days. He drives a 4 wheel drive truck, so stuff like this doesn't happen to him. The car isn't damaged, but he had to take time off of work to deal with it. Do you think he should be angry? What should I say to him. I hate it when he is upset with me, but I don't feel like I really did anything wrong.
