Is the song Face Down by Red Jumpsuit Apparatus about a husband/boyfriend abusing his wife/girlfriend?

Cause I'm almost positive it is, but when I told my friends that it was sad, and that it was about abuse, They laughed and called me an idiot and said the song wasn't about anything.
