My middle finger got hit with an air hockey puck one week and two days ago. I just kept playing because it didn't hurt that bad, but a bump formed that looked kinda green at first. I was at the movie theater and went in to watch the movie and I was using that same hand to eat popcorn so it kinda started hurting. Anyway, I put some ice on it when I got home, and I could move the finger fine. The bump went down, but it's still there, like I can feel the bump when I touch it with my other finger. It hurts a little whenever I tap it against something accidentally, which happens several times everyday, and I feel it when I press down on it. Oh, and it's located in between the two joints, closer to the joint next to my nail. I know bumps can stay forever, like the one I have on my head.

My hamster died but why?

It sounds to me like the poor little thing was suffering pretty bad in its last days. The weakness could have been a symptom of anemia or something of that sort. Possibly some sickness brought on by the mites which may or may not have been there before it died. Most likely it died from being unable to breathe. Likely the struggle to breathe was too much for it's little lungs and diaphragm. I'd say it may just have to remain a mystery and you can take comfort in the fact that she's not suffering anymore. I don't think on demand surgery is appropriate, if someone's life is truly in danger, doctors will perform a hysterectomy or whatever is needed to save the person's life. Your friend was in need of a second opinion and other options sooner than she got them and it was unfortunate her doctor refused life-saving surgery. Need is different than want and I think if doctors started giving hysterectomies on demand insurance companies would stop paying for the surgery- leaving those who actually need it out of luck and very likely dead. Not to mention I believe that law suits against the surgeons and hospitals would increase exponentially- why? Because people change their minds, their friends and families talk them into being upset over the surgery and they think they can set themselves up for life by claiming they weren't educated about the surgery properly or the doctor should never have done it in the first place- which WILL happen if things like this are available just by asking, they already have.

I feel that being all shingles are the same color on the inside which is black...because they are asphalt based, then the temperature will not be affected by the color of the granules on top of the shingle. All shingles get hot when the sun hits them. After being on roofs of all colors my conclusion is that they all achieve similar temperatures in all conditions. Black shingles wont get that much hotter than white because they are still black on the inside. White shingles get damn hot too. As long as your roof is properly installed and ventillated you shouldnt have any heat issues if your shingle color is dark. I dont think manufacturers would put dark shingles on the market if they posed a heat threat.

If someone wants to rub your belly say sure if I can rub yours! Make it fun for yourself. People always feel like they have a right to know everything when that is not the case. Just keep you sense of humour and enjoy your pregnancy. It'll be over before you know it and then you will miss it. Don't let others peoples ignorance ruin it for you.

I am 3 months pregnant and all I eat is mexican food, I eat nachos, salsa, taco bell, taquitos, and anything mexican but prior to getting pregnant I didnt care for mexican food. My very first craving before I even knew I was pregnant was doritos. One night at 3am I awoke and asked my husband to go and get me some doritos, he yelled at me and told me to lay back down, I cried for those doritos.... I shouldve known right then and there I was pregnant but I didnt find out until 2 weeks later. My husband brings home cheese and tortilla chips every day after work because he knows I ate it all while he was at work, and usually I did. My cravings are getting the very best of me, I wont eat anything else, is this healthy for my baby and what did you girls crave during your pregnancy. There's also the easy method used by my Granny and Mom and myself. Go to the store buy Sure-Jel. The recipe is on the box and it doesn't have to cook as long . If you want to do the old fashion way, then you can use the first answer's receipe but just cook it long enough for it to get thick. Also if you want to can your jam, boil the jars and lids, put the jam in the hot jars and put the hot lid on it. As it cools it will seal. (you can also get the jars hot enough by running them through the dishwasher..) Properly canned it will keep for about 6 months, but I've never had a batch that lasted that long, it gets eaten before then.

Just watch for his signals to see if he's comfortable (you'll know if he's not). Swaddling vs sleeper sacks really depends on the baby. both are safe, but some kids prefer movement and space, others sleep better if they are swaddled up. Just do which ever you are most comfortable with, or you can try both and see what works best for you!

I thought at first I had a cold. But then I realized that I didn't have any of the symptoms of the common cold but a cough. I also have a constant headache in my temporal area, but no stuffy nose, congestion, etc. No cough/cold medicine had any effect on me, and Motrin didn't help my headache. The cough I have really hurts and sometime it feels like my lungs are filled with so much phlegm that I can't breath until I cough it out. No, it doesn't stay effective forever. I was on the pill for 10 years and am pregnant now. It did take a couple of months, after stopping birth control, for me to ovulate. That's only because for 10 years, the pill was preventing ovulation so my body had to gear back up for it. It won't make you infertile.

Eat more bananas, bagels, vanilla flavoured soy milk, peanuts at lunch, eat more candy instead of the fattier cookies ( sugar on its own does not encourage weight gain ). Dinner looked good, but add more condiments like soy sauce, mustard, et cetera to make it more tasty, plus add two or more cut up lightly fried and steamed potatoes with the squash. You could also have rice with dinner, flavoured with peas and soy sauce. Potatoes are ok, they do not cause weight gain.One more thing, unless you are deep frying the vegetables, you can pretty much eat as much of them as you like,its very unlikely they will cause any weight gain ( the same goes for breads , pasta and soy foods, notwithstanding the Atkins diet fallacy ).Limit your dairy, meat and processed food intake, and it is likely that you will reach your goal. Do not eat more than 40 grams of fat a day. Stick with the candy, we all have to enjoy something.

Also check your primers for full ignition burn by simply cleaning your plug, inserting it back in the gun, load a primer and fire in a safe direction (without) the power pellets of course. It will also help to finish cleaning your plug on what you might have missed. Thorough cleaning is prevented maintenance in a muzzle loader (Always). And a little (Antiseize) on the plug threads will insure backout in case of rust build up after set up. Your primers or pellets are most likely your cause.

What could cause a new clutch to work at first and then disengage at freeway speed on a 84' ford ranger 4x4?

It had been working great for a few days, When it was in gear and having the clutch pedal up, it slowly over 2 miles stopped working, it then was acting as though the clutch pedal was in. I then put a new master and slave cyl. [as it is hydrolic], and after bleeding it there was still no change. I checked the torque on the pressure plate and it is good. Also I noted that it made no noise when all of this occured but a slight scent of clutch burning as it initially decelerated.

If you put spackle or mud in the hole, you cannot use it again with just a screw or nail. You will need to use a toggle bolt to attach something in the same spot. If it is imperative that you have something in that exact spot, you can cut open the wall and insert a 2x4 or other piece of wood behind the drywall and then patch it up. That way you can put a longer screw into the wood for a solid support.

You failed to include the milage but I have seen them fail as early as 40 k and some go past 300k. Usually 90-150 k is the norm for most 4spd o/d trans. Drop the trans pan and have a look at how much metal is in the bottom. A trans flush just does not do it, it fails to replace the filter. Like you said all you did was replace the solenoid pack because it was leaking fluid and you " heard " they go bad. Maybe you leaked enough fluid for the trans to burn out. I'm 18 years old, and I live with my grandparents. I used to live with my brother's dad and stepmom, and they mistreated me severely so I left at 17. Things have been difficult for me, and I often just have to take care of myself. I don't have much of anyone, but I was planning on going ahead and moving in with my aunt and uncle for maybe.. a year or less than that. But, I'm a month or so away from graduating high school. I plan to go to college, but I'd like to hold off for a year tops. I would be working of course, and the money I make would go towards college fund, a car, food, clothes.. because, I don't want anyone spending money on me, especially when they're nice enough to let me live with them. So, anyway I'm really close to them, and it's no big deal. I just need to have a job and help out with stuff, and all that you know. But, I currently do not have a car and they are in a different town 50 miles away. So, when I do move there.. I need food (vegetarian) and work soon.. so yeah I'd apply at places.. this is the only plan I have and it seems like a crappy one.. this may all sound stupid, but whatever. Did i hurt my ignition coil?

I drive a 1998 Infiniti I30 and I slowly drove off a curb the other day and my car was fine afterward. All that afternoon if was fine and the next morning too. But the next day around 12:00, I got in it and it was shaking very hard. It scared me. It shook when I was idling and when i changed gears. I took it to my mechanic and he said it is the Left Ignition Coil. I asked what causes that to go bad he said it just usually happens to people from time to time. Gastric Byp...Pulling Away From Family Members?

Hello. I am not the one who has had the surgery done. It is my aunt. We are all very proud of her for losing her weight. That is NOT the problem. She has this "new" boyfriend, and he is totally worthless for her. She has even said that in the beginning, that she wants someone to take care of her. He can not. He is an alcholic (she supports the habit), and he draws disability (although he does everything, hunts, cuts down trees, etc.) She does not spend any time with her family any more. The guy says he will not talk to anyone that is related to her sister, well that includes her kids. She will not give her youngest child any money to drive his truck, but she makes several trips a day to see him. The youngest child has even seen her give money to the bf to pay for his booze. She is losing her family. We do not know what to do. I have heard from someone else that has had the sugery done, that it can effect your mind...but I can not find anything on that. She does not come to see her four year old niece anymore. She spends all of her time with his family. She is not even herself. She buys him new shoes, clothes and etc. I think she has totally lost it. She is supposed to be on depression meds but she does not take those either. This guy has been married before and his exwife says this is what he does. He pulled the exwife away from her family and brainwashes you. My aunt can do so much better. The bf almost walked out in front of my mom the other day, and she just about hit him. Then he tells my aunt that we almost ran him off the road, and she calls us asking why we did that? We have people coming up to us, asking us why she is with him and he is nothing but trash. We just tell them she is out of her mind, and she will not listen to us. Everyone will tell you that he is worthless. So, now she is losing her kids to him. She believes everything the BF says and pays no attention to them, calls them and hangs up on them, won't wave at them, barely even talks to them. When she has something to say, she is usually just yelling. She tells them that she does not have any money...although she can take off of work and go with him to different states, and do whatever but does not have money to give to HER kids. My husband is mad that I slid the car into a ditch?
